In an era where skincare transcends beyond the face, the neck often gets overlooked. A recent survey conducted by Kirei Style, a health and beauty information platform operated by Bizki Inc., has shed light on the neck care habits of women aged 20 to 59 from across Japan. With a sample size of 2,000 participants, it aimed to understand the frequency and attitude toward neck skincare practices.

The survey, which took place on January 30, 2026, addressed a crucial question: Do you apply skincare products to your neck? The choices were as follows:
1. Always apply
2. Sometimes apply
3. Do not apply
4. Do not engage in skincare

The results were revealing. A notable 32.7% of respondents indicated that they always apply skincare products to their neck, closely followed by 31.1% who said they do so sometimes. When combined, the numbers show that 63.8% of women are aware of the importance of neck care, significantly higher than the 21.8% who reported that they do not apply products at all.

Age Factor Analysis



Breaking down the data by age, it appears that as women get older, their commitment to neck skincare increases. Among women in their 20s, only 55.2% combine responses for “always” and “sometimes” applying products, escalating to 70.2% in those aged 50 and above. This trend suggests that younger women might not perceive neck wrinkles as a concern until later in life. Interestingly, one in four women in their 20s claimed they do not engage in any form of skincare, which may relate to their skin's natural resilience and reduced signs of aging.

Professional Insights



When considering professional backgrounds, respondents working as employees or civil servants showed the highest rates of commitment to neck skincare, prioritizing their appearance due to regular interactions in their jobs. Conversely, stay-at-home mothers represented the highest percentage of those who apply skincare
