Raytron Microelectronics Unveils Advanced IR Imaging Modules at SENSOR+TEST 2026

Raytron Microelectronics Showcases Innovative IR Imaging Solutions at SENSOR+TEST 2026

From June 9 to 11, 2026, Raytron Microelectronics is set to display its advanced portfolio of infrared (IR) camera modules at SENSOR+TEST 2026, held at NürnbergMesse in Germany. This exhibition represents a significant opportunity for Raytron to engage with OEM manufacturers and system integrators who are keen on integrating state-of-the-art thermal imaging technology into various sectors including industrial automation and precision inspection systems.

Overcoming Size and Power Limitations

In recent years, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) specializing in thermal cameras for electrical inspections have encountered persistent challenges regarding size and power constraints. Raytron Microelectronics has developed ultra-compact thermal imaging modules to address these pressing concerns.

Highlighting their technology is the TC2-C series, a small thermal module that measures just 13.2 × 13.2 × 8.7 mm and weighs a mere 2.5 grams. Designed with interfaces such as MIPI, DVP, and USB, this module enables seamless integration into PCB inspection systems and portable devices, thus enhancing their functionality and operability.

Industrial Inspection with High Performance

For large-scale industrial inspections, Raytron is introducing the SE5 1280 series, which boasts extraordinary imaging performance through its compact 29 × 29 mm package containing a 1280×1024 detector. Utilizing a second-generation ISP chip and shutterless technology, this module delivers thermal images at a smooth 50 Hz, making it ideal for drone inspections of utilities, photovoltaic monitoring, and evaluation of infrastructure.

Enhancing Inspection Beyond Long-Wave Infrared

Raytron Microelectronics goes beyond standard thermal imaging by expanding capabilities to incorporate inspection technologies that surpass the long-wave infrared spectrum. For automated sorting lines, the NS-615AS-10GE SWIR camera operates at a remarkable 825 Hz through a 10 Gigabit Ethernet interface. This avant-garde technology decodes the chemical signatures of transparent plastics like PP, PE, PET, and PVC, transforming chaotic recycling classification into a precise, instant process.

Moreover, the cooled OGI module, Photon C330H, achieves an exceptional NETD of ≤12mK, effectively visualizing invisible methane leaks and volatile gases to facilitate immediate environmental compliance.

Accelerating Time-to-Market for OEMs

In his statements during the event, Raytron's R&D director emphasized that the company's commitment is not solely limited to providing hardware but also entails acting as a long-term technological partner. They offer open SDKs, flexible lens options, and dual-light solutions that empower OEMs to expedite development processes and significantly reduce time-to-market for their infrared solutions.
