LIAN Group Expands Aesthetic Medicine Business with Vitaura

In a strategic move to strengthen its footprint in the aesthetic medicine sector, LIAN Group has unveiled its new venture, Vitaura. This consolidation business focuses on aesthetic medicine, surgery, and longevity, aiming to create a network of excellence similar to the previous Cheeze Dentistry Network. The primary goal is to provide comprehensive support to clinics and practitioners, ensuring they meet high-quality standards while optimizing resource management across various facilities.

The Italian market for aesthetic procedures has experienced notable growth in recent years. In 2023 alone, Italy ranked ninth globally, executing approximately 757,000 procedures valued at over $300 million. This demand has led to the rise of numerous small operators, resulting in a fragmented market with few aggregation models. Vitaura intends to change this landscape by acquiring and consolidating established clinics nationwide, offering them integrated management support across administrative, financial, and strategic marketing functions. This strategy enables physicians to concentrate on what they do best: clinical care and patient relationships, while also leveraging potential synergies among clinics.

Vitaura's first acquisition is the Medicina Estetica Zazzaron clinic, well-regarded and operating at two sites in Veneto. This clinic, founded and helmed by Dr. Michela Zazzaron, ranks among the top ten in the country. Dr. Andrea Grassi joins Vitaura as COO and Head of Business Development, bringing extensive experience to foster the company's growth.

Vitaura plans to finalize agreements for acquiring two more locations in Tuscany and aims to make an additional eight acquisitions within the next 36 months. The vision for Vitaura is to create a robust network rather than merely a group, allowing each clinic to retain its unique identity and operational autonomy. Matteo Cardarelli, LIAN Group's Director and Head of Investments in Italy, articulates this vision, emphasizing the critical nature of maintaining trust and relationships between physicians and their patients.

This initiative is part of LIAN Group's broader Healthcare Platform strategy, which has seen several successful ventures in various healthcare sectors recently. Cardarelli outlines the intent to follow the path of consolidation seen in other healthcare domains and bring it into the aesthetic medicine arena.

The LIAN Group team leading this initiative includes Managing Partner Fiorenzo Manganiello, Director Michele Di Minno, and Senior Analyst Jacopo Spoto, alongside robust legal and financial advisory support. Legal representation for the group comes from Gianni Origoni, while Studio Legale e Tributario TaxNet is managing deal structuring and corporate guidance. These partnerships position Vitaura to achieve its ambitious expansion goals efficiently.

With modern-day consumers increasingly focused on aesthetics and longevity, the emergence of dedicated networks like Vitaura could fundamentally reshape the landscape of aesthetic medicine in Italy and possibly beyond. As the company moves forward with its aggressive acquisition strategy, the potential for creating a cohesive and quality-driven ecosystem for aesthetic practices looks promising, marking a transformative era for this healthcare segment.
