Corsha Expands Executive Team for Growth
Corsha, recognized as the first and only Machine Identity Provider (mIDP) designed to secure machine-to-machine (M2M) communication within critical infrastructure, has recently announced an impressive enhancement to its leadership team. With the additions of Sam Whelan as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and Brian C. Reed as Chief Market Officer (CMO), the company aims to significantly accelerate its growth trajectory.
As industries increasingly rely on interconnected machines for operations, the importance of robust identity management systems cannot be overstated. Today, there are over 800 million machines functioning across various sectors such as manufacturing, energy, utilities, and defense. These machines are evolving towards greater autonomy, thus escalating the risks associated with untrusted communications. Traditional identity and access management (IAM) solutions fall short in addressing these challenges, making Corsha’s purpose-built m-IDP not just innovative, but essential.
In the words of Corsha’s CEO and Co-founder, Anusha Iyer, “Enterprises are embracing automation and AI at an unprecedented pace, underscoring the urgency for establishing a solid identity security foundation for M2M communication.” Iyer expressed her excitement for the new appointments, highlighting that Whelan and Reed bring invaluable expertise in cybersecurity and market strategy, fundamental for driving Corsha’s mission forward.
Meet the New Leaders
Sam Whelan - Chief Revenue Officer
Sam Whelan brings with him over two decades of sales expertise in the cybersecurity domain. His previous roles include significant leadership positions at various successful startups. Most recently, he was the CRO at Viso Trust, a firm specializing in AI-driven third-party risk management. Whelan has also made notable contributions in sales direction at Cmd, which specialized in cloud infrastructure security until its acquisition by Elastic.
In his own words, Whelan remarked, “Corsha is addressing one of the most pressing gaps in cybersecurity with a platform essential for every enterprise and government agency operating critical systems today.” He expressed eagerness to apply his skills in building high-impact sales teams that can cater to the growing demand for machine identity solutions.
Brian C. Reed - Chief Market Officer
Brian C. Reed joins Corsha with a wealth of marketing and product leadership experience spanning over 30 years. He is notably recognized as an expert in mobile cybersecurity, having previously led marketing efforts at Appdome and held high-impact roles at NowSecure and BoxTone.
Reed commented, “Machines now run the world, but security has not kept pace. Corsha provides the foundational platform needed to secure this ecosystem.” His vision aligns perfectly with Corsha's goal of leading the charge in cybersecurity innovation, particularly in the machine identity sector.
The Future of Corsha
Corsha’s innovative technology establishes the framework needed for securing M2M communications across increasingly complex environments. Backed by venture capital firms like SineWave and Razor's Edge, Corsha is poised to capitalize on the expanding market for machine identity solutions. With the accession of Whelan and Reed, Corsha looks set to usher in a new era of operational security, ensuring that as industries evolve, they do so with confidence and safety.
