Driving Innovation in Energy Systems
Over the past year, Envision has committed to pioneering next-generation energy systems termed "AI-based power systems." These systems enhance the efficiency of green electricity use, optimizing workloads, and tailoring limited power capacities to meet surging GPU demands. At the Chifeng "Net Zero" industrial park, Envision's innovations are already in action. This site operates on a 100% renewable energy system with a capacity of 2 GW, leveraging the EnOS platform to orchestrate real-time energy operations involving wind, solar, storage, computing, and green hydrogen production.
Furthermore, in collaboration with Tencent, the AI-based power system intelligently organizes AI workload scheduling, dynamically adjusting computing demands based on renewable energy availability. This initiative is a part of Envision's global program titled "Mission Gobi," which aims to establish 5 GW of green AI data centers (AIDCs) in arid and desert regions by 2030.
Global Impact Through Energy Innovation
The report also outlines how Envision turns innovation into tangible outcomes, significantly contributing to energy security, industrial transformation, and local development across various regions. In Egypt, their Amunet wind project, boasting a capacity of 500 MW, has become fully operational, making it one of the largest wind farms in Africa. It generates approximately 2.3 billion kWh per year, enough to power around 800,000 homes, supporting Egypt's Vision 2030 goals.
In the UK, Envision’s intelligent energy storage system, based on the Dubhe energy foundation model, is backing the Carrington project, one of the largest autonomous storage installations in the country. Once operational, this system will supply enough electricity to meet the needs of 2.2 million households for two hours, while bolstering grid stability and sustainability goals.
Additionally, Envision made headlines with the successful delivery of its first shipment of green ammonia produced at the Chifeng facility to LOTTE Fine Chemical in South Korea. This significant milestone marks a pivotal moment in establishing zero-carbon “green oil” as a global commodity.
In Laos, the Monsoon wind project not only supports clean electricity for 1.43 million homes in Vietnam but also contributes to local communities by clearing over 1,200 landmines and unexploded ordnance.
