XCMG Machinery Expands European Operations
XCMG Machinery, a leading Asian construction equipment manufacturer, is intensifying its expansion into the European market with a strategic push that includes the opening of a state-of-the-art production facility in Kompin, Poland. On April 13, 2025, the company held a groundbreaking ceremony for an advanced assembly hall designed specifically for the manufacture of horizontal directional drilling (HDD) rigs. This major investment underscores XCMG's commitment to sustainability and industrial growth within the region.
The facility in Poland is a significant milestone for XCMG, as the company aims to create a localized production base that not only enhances operational efficiency but also reinforces Poland's status as a hub for high-quality construction machinery. Former Polish President Bronisław Komorowski, XCMG Group President Yang Dongsheng, and other local officials attended the ceremony, highlighting the potential for job creation and cost reduction associated with this development.
"This investment not only strengthens Poland's position in high-grade construction equipment production but also enhances our capacity to develop solutions tailored to customer needs throughout Europe," stated Michał Myczkowski, President of XCMG-Europa. The new facility is expected to specialize in the production of trenchless technology equipment, addressing the increasing demand for sustainable infrastructure construction technologies in the European market.
Moreover, XCMG is also expanding its service offerings in France through a partnership with Groupe LABROSSE. On April 14, 2025, LABROSSE hosted an Open House event outlining their expansion plans, which include the acquisition of key construction equipment rental companies, such as Barthélémy Location and E2M. This bolstering of the service network aims to meet the needs of local markets effectively.
As part of its strategy, XCMG has announced additional acquisitions of five more companies to enhance their service capacity, culminating in the opening of a new headquarters for Groupe LABROSSE that will incorporate twelve modified XCMG models, including earthmoving equipment and aerial lifts. Service specialists will be available on-site to support these operations, emphasizing Yang Dongsheng's vision of a focus on intelligent innovations, green transition, and service excellence.
The establishment of a European Training Center and a leasing company are also on the horizon as XCMG seeks to provide advanced competencies and flexible financing options to clients, ultimately resulting in enhanced operational performance.
In Germany, XCMG's expansion includes the inauguration of a 5,000 square meter service and training center, as well as a parts warehouse. These developments are part of a dual strategy aimed at manufacturing excellence and local market service capability enhancement.
Currently, XCMG operates six international R&D centers and has an active presence in 193 countries, integrating local workforce and resources into its global operations. The recent expansions in Poland and France signify a decisive step in XCMG's mission to become a leader in the European construction equipment market, capitalizing on new opportunities while remaining committed to sustainability and technological innovation.
