Jeanette Stark Elevated to Executive Vice President at PACU, A New Era of Leadership Begins

Piedmont Advantage Credit Union (PACU) has marked a significant milestone by promoting Jeanette Stark to the role of Executive Vice President. This announcement, made on December 19, 2025, adds to Stark's important responsibilities as Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel. Stark began her new leadership role on December 1, 2025, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge acquired over more than two decades of experience in the legal field.

Since joining PACU in 2019, Jeanette Stark has been a vital component of the organization, initially serving as General Counsel. In this capacity, she ensured compliance with a myriad of regulations, safeguarding the credit union’s operations and interests while actively contributing to a positive member experience. Her adeptness in navigating legal intricacies has allowed PACU to provide services that consistently meet stringent state and federal guidelines.

In 2022, Stark's commitment to legal excellence was recognized with her promotion to Chief Legal Officer. This role involved formulating the overall legal strategy for PACU, advising senior leadership, and managing risks associated with legal matters. Stark's responsibilities also expanded to include oversight in areas such as risk management, fraud prevention, and quality assurance, thereby enhancing PACU's operational framework. This dual focus on compliance and strategic direction has been instrumental in aligning PACU's objectives with existing legal statutes.

With her new title as Executive Vice President, Stark's leadership scope has broadened further. She will now oversee PACU's retail branches, call center, and business intelligence, in addition to her existing legal responsibilities. Stark is focused on ensuring that PACU continues to thrive through comprehensive training programs for front-line staff, enhancing their knowledge and confidence in assisting members.

"While much of my work happens behind the scenes, it's vital for us to ensure everything meets compliance standards so we can provide our members with the best and most secure service," Stark said. She expressed excitement about her new role and the chance to foster better communication and collaboration among the various departments within PACU.

Stark’s commitment extends beyond her duties at PACU; she currently holds a position as Vice President on the Board of Directors for the PACU Foundation. Additionally, she leads the organization's Diversity and Inclusion Committee, reflecting her dedication to creating a more equitable and representative workplace.

Dion Williams, the President and CEO of PACU, praised Stark’s contributions: "Jeanette has been an integral part of Piedmont Advantage ever since she joined in 2019. Her relentless drive to protect both the credit union and its members, her attention to detail, and her innovative thinking make her an exceptional leader. We are thrilled to see how the departments that report to her will thrive under her leadership."

Stark holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the College of William and Mary and a Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law, where she developed a deep understanding of financial law and operational leadership. Her prior experience as a law clerk, attorney/shareholder, and Chief Deputy Clerk for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court has uniquely equipped her for her current role at PACU.

Founded in 1949, Piedmont Advantage Credit Union has established itself as a cooperative financial institution, serving members in multiple counties across North Carolina. With its strong legacy in aviation and a commitment to community service, PACU continues to evolve under the guidance of leaders like Jeanette Stark. As she embarks on this new chapter, PACU looks forward to continuing its mission of providing excellent service to its member-owners, all while upholding the utmost standards of compliance and operational excellence.
