Starting August 19, 2025, this episode can be enjoyed on the electronic comic platform, "Yan-chan Web."

Like a delicate brush painting history, the second chapter is set against the backdrop of Okinawa, the only place in Japan where a mainland battle took place. As we reflect on the crucial events of 1945, this episode features beloved local dishes that still resonate with Okinawans today. Preserving Memories Through Stories

In this year marking 80 years since the end of World War II, Japan JC aims to combat the fading memories of war, aspiring to preserve the unique stories hidden in regions across Japan. This initiative, dubbed the "80-Year-Old Story Discovery Project," aims to share narratives relating to life and food during wartime through approachable mediums, like manga. The project encourages the submission of stories from across the country that detail life under wartime conditions, from which selected narratives have inspired Uonome-sensei’s creative efforts in this special series.

With the release of Episode 2 on August 19, 2025, readers will embark on a journey back to Okinawa.
