Ekinops Reports Strong Q1 2026 Revenue Growth in Optical Connectivity and Cybersecurity Solutions

Ekinops Achieves Revenue Growth in Q1 2026

PARIS, April 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Ekinops, a prominent provider of optical networks and cybersecurity solutions, has reported robust financial results for the first quarter of 2026, reaffirming its position in the telecom market.

In Q1 2026, Ekinops recorded consolidated revenues of €27.6 million, showcasing a commendable sequential growth of 8% from the prior quarter's revenue of €25.6 million. This marks the second consecutive quarter of improved performance, signaling a positive trend for the company.

Despite a slight dip of 3% compared to Q1 2025, the results reflect nearly stable quarterly revenue when adjusted for constant exchange rates.

Positive Contributions from Olfeo

A significant contributor to this quarter’s success was the integration of Olfeo, a French cybersecurity software provider acquired in mid-2025, which contributed €1.6 million to Ekinops' revenue. The effective combination of Olfeo’s Secure Service Edge (SSE) solutions with Ekinops' existing offerings is expected to enhance their appeal in the cybersecurity market.

Connectivity and SASE Networks on the Rise

The company reported a remarkable growth in sales of its Connectivity SASE Networks solutions, with an impressive 14% increase from Q4 2025. This positive trajectory particularly reflects stronger demand in France, showcasing the company’s strategic positioning to capture market growth following various telecom sector transformations.

While Ekinops’ Optical Networks segment recorded stable activity compared to the previous quarter, the increasing market scales in Europe, particularly outside of France, suggest ongoing momentum for the company's optical communication initiatives. Notably, activity in the United States is beginning to ramp up, and future impacts from the federal BEAD program are anticipated.

Software Services Growth

In the realm of Software Services, Ekinops achieved a 6% increase in sales, partially driven by the demand for recurring support contracts. This segment now represents 20% of the total revenue compared to 18% from the previous year, indicating a shift toward more sustainable income sources. At the end of March 2026, the Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) rose to €15.6 million, showing a 5% growth from the previous quarter.

Future Outlook

Looking ahead, Ekinops aims to continue its growth trajectory throughout 2026, supporting its expectations for single-digit revenue growth for the full year. This optimism is bolstered by the anticipated launch of new Data Center Interconnect (DCI) and SASE solutions scheduled for later this year.

Additionally, the company's recent acquisition of Chimere, a French startup specializing in Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), aligns with Ekinops' cybersecurity strategy and facilitates further expansion in the SSE sector. Coupled with Olfeo’s services, the integration of Chimere opens up additional opportunities for cross-selling across Ekinops’ robust portfolio.

In the latter part of March, Ekinops also announced a Memorandum of Understanding with a prominent European telecom operator for a large-scale optical network deployment utilizing Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) technology. This partnership is poised to reinforce Ekinops’ market position and amplify its service offerings over the coming years.

Ekinops continues to navigate the dynamic telecom landscape with a focus on innovation and strategic alliances that promise to drive sustainable growth in the competitive market environment.
