This program aims to support junior and senior high school students from Goto City who come from single-parent families or homes without both parents, allowing them to pursue their education without giving up on their dreams.

About the Scholarship

The Goto Baramon Scholarship was established to help children who grow up in less favorable circumstances. It seeks to provide financial aid in the form of non-repayable scholarships, allowing students to thrive academically.

Scholarship Details

There are two categories for the scholarship:
1. Junior High School Scholarship:
- Eligibility: Current first-year junior high students residing in Goto City and whose parents qualify for the 2024 Goto City Child Support Allowance.
- Amount: ¥400,000 per year (total of ¥1,200,000 over three years).
- Available Slots: 6 students.

2. Senior High School Scholarship:
- Eligibility: Current first-year senior high students residing in Goto City and whose parents qualify for the 2024 Goto City Child Support Allowance.
- Amount: ¥500,000 per year (total of ¥1,500,000 over three years).
- Available Slots: 6 students.

Schedule and Application Process

Important Dates:

• - Application Start Date: September 25, 2025
• - Application Deadline: October 31, 2025 (Must be postmarked by this date)
• - First Selection Results (Document Screening): Mid-December 2025 (tentative)
• - Second Selection (Interviews): Mid-January 2026 (tentative)
• - Second Selection Results (Interviews): Late February 2026 (tentative)

Note: The second selection (interviews) will be conducted on weekends or holidays in Goto City. For junior high school applicants, both the student and their parents will be required to attend the interviews, while only the senior high school applicants will participate alone.
