Recently, they announced an open call for businesses to submit their innovative ideas to resolve the pressing social issues faced by the Tama region. This initiative seeks to actualize collaborative business proposals from multiple entities to make a tangible impact on the local community.

Key Requirements for Business Ideas

Applicants are encouraged to develop business ideas that address specific social issues affecting the Tama area. The business idea should meet the following criteria:

1. Focus on Social Challenges: The proposed idea must recognize a societal challenge in the Tama region.
2. Relevant Themes: The idea should relate to one of the following themes:
- Environment & Energy
- Health & Medical
- Children & Education
- Safety & Security
- Tourism & Leisure
- Logistics & Mobility
- Community Activation
- Business Model Reform
- Talent Acquisition & Development
3. Novelty and Impact: The idea should showcase originality and is expected to have a positive impact on the Tama area.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, the applicant team must consist of various entities, including:

• - SMEs or Startups: At least one member must represent a small or medium enterprise, including startups.
• - Collaborative Teams: Teams should involve multiple stakeholders such as larger companies and educational institutions.

Support Offered

The Tokyo government commits to supporting collaborative efforts aimed at solving the Tama region's challenges through:

• - Business Planning Assistance: Guidance in drafting a comprehensive business plan.
• - Networking Opportunities: Help in connecting with necessary collaborators.
• - Funding Support: Up to 1 million yen will be provided to facilitate the actualization of the business idea.

Timeline for Support

The support period is set from late November 2026 to the end of February 2027, allowing time for development and implementation of the selected business ideas.

Application Period
