FranklinWH's European Expansion: A New Era for Residential Energy Storage Solutions

FranklinWH's Entry into the European Market

FranklinWH Energy Storage Inc. has announced an ambitious plan to penetrate the European residential energy storage market by 2027. This announcement comes as they introduce their advanced energy management system at the prestigious Intersolar Europe 2026 event in Munich.

As the demand for sustainable energy solutions surges, both utilities and homeowners in Europe are actively seeking options to lower their electricity expenses and enhance grid flexibility. The electrification of transport and home heating, alongside a growing prevalence of renewable energy sources, is driving a significant rise in the need for residential energy storage systems across the continent.

FranklinWH's innovative energy storage solution integrates multiple functionalities within a single residential platform. Their system, which is capable of scaling between 15 to 225 kilowatt-hours using the aGate intelligent controller, allows users to manage backup power needs, optimize solar energy consumption, and control energy costs effectively. It employs lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry, known for its safety and longevity, and features an all-in-one architecture that facilitates straightforward installation processes.

Energy management software is a crucial component of FranklinWH’s offering, as it intelligently adjusts the storage system's charging and discharging patterns based on real-time household consumption, prevailing electricity prices, and weather conditions. This dynamic energy management capability is designed to empower homeowners, enabling them to generate, store, manage, and utilize energy seamlessly through a unified platform, rather than relying on multiple disconnected devices.

FranklinWH's expansion into Europe is backed by their extensive experience in the United States, where they have successfully contributed to more than 25 utility-led virtual power plant (VPP) programs. In these programs, customers are rewarded for discharging stored energy back to the grid when demand peaks. With a robust global network of over 4,000 authorized installation partners specializing in residential storage deployments, FranklinWH aims to leverage this experience to foster early adoption and success in the European market.

According to Vincent Ambrose, Chief Commercial Officer of FranklinWH, the desire for lower energy bills and the need for flexible energy resources are two sides of the same coin; a challenge for homeowners and utilities alike. He highlights that FranklinWH’s systems are already functioning effectively in various VPPs in the U.S., and the company has designed their new platform based on valuable insights gained from these programs.

As part of their strategy to establish a foothold in Europe, FranklinWH is actively seeking partnerships with local utilities, distributors, installers, and energy aggregators during their participation at Intersolar Europe. Specific details about distribution partnerships, market availability, and further product specifications are expected to be disclosed as they approach their anticipated launch in 2027.

FranklinWH is currently exhibiting at Hall C3, Booth 130, at Intersolar Europe 2026, from June 23 to 25 in Munich. This event serves as a vital platform for them to connect with potential partners and customers in the European market.
