CAE USA Continuing Its Commitment to C-130H Training

CAE USA has been awarded a $300 million recompete contract by the United States Air Force (USAF) to advance its training services for C-130 Hercules aircrew members. This contract continuation not only emphasizes CAE's longstanding relationship with the US Air Force but also secures its position as a primary contractor in providing mission-critical support for training activities extending all the way to December 2035.

Since 2018, CAE has delivered essential C-130H Aircrew Training System (ATS) services, and the extension underscores their reputation as a trusted training partner. As a result of this new contract, they will manage a range of training and support services tailored for the USAF's evolving requirements. Key components encompass program management, instructional delivery, maintenance, logistic aid, cybersecurity measures, and regular updates to ensure that the training aligns with current aircraft operations.

The C-130H is pivotal for the USAF, tasked with diverse missions ranging from tactical airlift to humanitarian assistance. It is not only essential for immediate military operations but often serves in critical support roles during times of disaster. CAE will focus on preparing pilots, flight engineers, navigators, and loadmasters, ensuring that they meet operational readiness standards necessary for national security.

Training will take place at various locations, with the primary site being Little Rock Air Force Base in Arkansas. This facility is well-equipped as it houses the Training Service Support Center and hosts the C-130H Formal Training Unit. Aside from Little Rock, CAE will deliver training at Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Georgia, Wyoming Air National Guard Base, Minneapolis Air National Guard Base, and St. Joseph Air National Guard Base in Missouri.

A local expert in training solutions, Srini Dixit, who serves as the Vice President and General Manager for CAE Defense and Security USA, expressed pride in continuing their role in such a significant program. He highlighted their commitment to delivering not just training, but exceptional performance characterized by innovation, solid value, and an adaptable approach to the changing demands of the military.

Nick Coucoules, another executive involved with the airlift and tanker programs, also emphasized the foundational trust the USAF places in CAE, particularly in a landscape that continues to shift rapidly in terms of defense needs. This contract renewal reflects CAE's dedication to maintaining high standards in training while also bolstering their position in the military aerospace sector.

The C-130H training program currently leverages nine full-mission simulators and upwards of 45 various aircrew training devices spread across different locations, optimizing training for the aircrew to perform effectively and excel during deployment.
