Startup Pitch Competition to Take Place in Lisbon Before CES 2026

Exciting Startup Pitch Competition in Lisbon Before CES 2026

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA)® is set to host a thrilling startup pitch competition on June 23 in the picturesque city of Lisbon, coinciding with its annual CEO Summit. This exciting event aims to highlight innovative companies from Portugal, connecting them with key investors from the region. The winning startup will secure a complimentary exhibition space at Eureka Park, a global platform for startups at CES® 2026 in Las Vegas.

According to Gary Shapiro, CEO and President of CTA, "Lisbon stands out as one of Europe’s leading innovation hubs, making it an ideal location for our pitch competition. We are eager to feature some of Europe’s vibrant and emerging startups, and we look forward to welcoming the winner to CES 2026 this coming January."

This year, five Portuguese startups will take the stage to showcase their groundbreaking innovations to a panel of investor judges. These judges include prominent figures such as Rita Branco from 3xP Global Investments, Cintia Mano, co-founder of COREangels, and Tomás Penaguião from Bynd Venture Capital, among others.

The participating startups are:

  • - Bandora Systems: A SaaS platform that leverages machine learning to optimize building energy usage.
  • - Enhanced Fertility: At-home testing kits designed for data-driven fertility treatments.
  • - iLoF: Utilizing AI to accelerate the future of personalized drug discovery and development.
  • - Mantis-AI: A media tech company that turns raw videos and data into engaging content through AI.
  • - Musiversal: A subscription service that enables collaborative music production.

"When challenges arise, innovators step up to find solutions. We are thrilled to gather Portuguese startups that are enhancing lives and tackling some of the world’s biggest challenges," added Kinsey Fabrizio, Chair of CTA. "From early-stage disruptors to established unicorns, Portugal is proving it can compete on a global scale, and we invite Portuguese startups to CES 2026."
