Since its introduction in 2023, the "Hot Water Specialty" series has sold over 200,000 units. The ON℃ZONE pitcher is specifically crafted to bring boiling water down to an ideal drinking temperature in about 2 minutes. Its unique thermal management system keeps the water warm for approximately an hour, making it convenient for family meals or relaxation time.

Development Background

In 2017, Doshisha launched the ON℃ZONE brand, focusing on temperature management and the sensory experience of various temperatures. Following the successful release of the "Hot Water Specialty" mug, which became a hit in 2023, Doshisha identified the need for a larger, pitcher-style product. This new design caters to individuals who enjoy 2-3 cups of warm water in the morning or those who wish to share the experience with family and friends.

Key Features

Ideal Warm Water Structure

Doshisha defines warm water as water heated to over 40°C, free of chlorine and impurities. When using tap water, boiling it for around 10 minutes will remove the chlorine, followed by cooling it to 50-65°C to achieve the perfect warm water.

The ON℃ZONE pitcher features a double-wall stainless steel structure, with a heat-absorbing agent inside that quickly reduces boiling water to a drinkable temperature.

Quick Temperature Adjustment

Once boiling water is poured into the pitcher, the heat-absorbing agent takes effect, lowering the temperature to a suitable 65-70°C in about 2 minutes. This rapid cooling mechanism ensures that even the 1.0L capacity pitcher reaches the optimal temperature swiftly, making warm water accessible to everyone in the family. For those who prefer using their favorite mugs, the pitcher can also be poured into cups, allowing a seamless drinking experience.

Unlike traditional stainless steel or glass pitchers, which may remain too hot to drink directly, the ON℃ZONE pitcher offers an efficient way to enjoy warm water immediately and retain its warmth for an extended period. Research indicated that individuals with a sensitivity to hot beverages often prefer temperatures between 55-67°C, aligning perfectly with what this pitcher provides.
