CurTec USA Invests $10 Million to Expand Facilities in Westminster, SC

CurTec USA Invests in Expansion

CurTec USA has officially announced an investment of $10 million aimed at expanding its production and warehousing capabilities in Westminster, South Carolina. This substantial investment is set to create 10 new jobs in the region, reinforcing CurTec’s commitment to enhancing local manufacturing processes.

The expansion will encompass the addition of approximately 2,536 square meters, as well as over 2,000 new pallet slots for storing products. Construction is slated to begin in October 2026, with project completion expected in the second quarter of 2027. This facility upgrade will significantly bolster CurTec’s production capacity and diversify its product offerings made in the USA.

In reflecting on the company's growth trajectory, Bart van Berkel, CEO of CurTec, emphasized the strategic importance of their Westminster location, stating, "When we opened in 2023, our aim was to get closer to our North American customers and set a foundation for future growth. This expansion allows us to enhance local production and inventory, ensuring better supply stability for our customers."

Enhancing Local Production

Central to the expansion is the installation of a new extrusion blow molding machine. This advanced equipment will notably increase capacity and enable local manufacturing of smaller packaging sizes. CurTec plans to initiate production of 6- and 10-liter Click Pack buckets by the end of 2026. Smaller wide-mouth containers are expected to follow in 2027.

Roy Kuipers, Operations Director at CurTec, highlighted the importance of simultaneous production and storage expansion for responding efficiently to customer demands. “With this development, we can manufacture a larger portion of our product assortment right here in Westminster, which enhances our flexibility to meet customer needs effectively,” he said.

Commitment to Community and Economic Growth

Local leaders have also expressed optimism about the economic implications of CurTec's expansion. Jamie Gilbert, President and CEO of the Oconee Economic Alliance, applauded the investment, stating, "Today is another positive milestone for the economy in Oconee County. Just three years post-opening, this investment demonstrates CurTec's confidence in our workforce and economic environment. We value our partnership and look forward to seeing further growth from CurTec in our region."
