Saint Anthony Hospital's New Addition to ENT Services
Saint Anthony Hospital, a non-profit healthcare institution committed to serving the underserved, has bolstered its ear, nose, and throat (ENT) services with the recent hiring of Dr. Dara Adams. Starting her practice on April 22, 2026, Dr. Adams brings a wealth of expertise that promises to benefit the local community significantly.
Dr. Adams is a board-certified Otolaryngologist, specializing in treating various complex conditions related to the human body's ear, nose, and throat. Her skill set includes managing chronic rhinosinusitis, nasal obstructions, sleep apnea, and pediatric ENT issues, as well as head and neck cancers. Her arrival is particularly significant for the diverse community served by the hospital, which includes both English and Spanish-speaking patients.
"Saint Anthony Hospital has been a foundational healthcare provider in the Southwest Side for over a decade, and I am thrilled to join the team and expand the scope of ENT services available to our community," Dr. Adams expressed. "From issues pertaining to hearing or smell to those affecting sleep quality, it’s vital that individuals receive timely treatment. I'm here to help ensure no one has to endure these challenges untreated."
Located within the Saint Anthony Hospital's Physician Center, Dr. Adams aims to cater to a broad spectrum of ENT-related health concerns for patients from varying backgrounds. The hospital itself operates three outpatient clinics throughout the Southwest neighborhoods of Chicago, offering a variety of services including Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and Mental Health services, among others.
Dr. Romeen Lavani, Chief Medical Officer at Saint Anthony Hospital, highlighted the need for specialized care in the area, stating, "Dr. Adams brings a wealth of knowledge, and her skills are especially needed to address the limitations in service accessibility within our community. This enhancement will help fulfill the urgent need for specialist consultations, both for adults and children."
Aside from her responsibilities at the hospital, Dr. Adams is also affiliated with UI Health, where she provides specialized otolaryngological care. This dual role allows her to contribute to advancing clinical care while enhancing education and access to specialty services across a more expansive patient base in the region.
