Geisha J. Williams Joins PSEG Board, Promising Leadership and Insight

PSEG Welcomes Geisha J. Williams to Its Board of Directors

Public Service Enterprise Group Incorporated (PSEG) recently announced the election of Geisha J. Williams to its Board of Directors, effective March 1, 2026. Williams brings an impressive background with over 35 years of experience in the energy sector, a field where strategic leadership and operational knowledge are essential.

Williams previously served as the CEO and President of PGE Corporation from March 2017 until January 2019. Under her leadership, PGE emerged as one of the largest dual electric and gas utilities in the United States. Her tenure was marked by an emphasis on strategic planning and administrative oversight, which are imperative in responding to the evolving landscape of energy needs. Before her stint at PGE, Williams spent more than two decades at Florida Power and Light, where she held various roles and ultimately became the Vice President of Power Systems–Distribution.

Ralph LaRossa, PSEG's Chair, President and CEO, expressed confidence in Williams's capabilities, stating, "Geisha's record of strategic leadership and operational expertise will be a tremendous asset to our board." He continued by highlighting her industry understanding and her local roots, which align with PSEG's commitment to supporting the communities it serves. Williams is originally from Union City, New Jersey, allowing her to have a personal connection to the residents of these communities.

Williams's election marks a significant step in PSEG's initiative to diversify its board, a strategy that was emphasized when five new independent directors were added to the board since April 2022. In addition to her directorial role at PSEG, Williams is also involved with several other companies, including serving on the Supervisory Board for Siemens Energy, holding a position on the Artera Services Board of Directors, chairing the Board of Directors at Osmose Utilities Services, and being an independent director for Meritage Homes.

Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Miami and a Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University—both solid foundations for her extensive career in the energy field.

PSEG operates New Jersey's largest transmission and distribution utility, catering to approximately 2.4 million electric customers and nearly 1.9 million natural gas customers. Their commitment to sustainable practices has earned them a steady position within the SP 500 Index and recognition as part of the Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index for over 17 years.

Through its initiatives and leadership, PSEG aims to power a future that emphasizes reduced energy consumption, environmental sustainability, and reliability in service delivery. As PSEG continues on this trajectory, Williams’s insights and leadership will undoubtedly play a critical role in guiding the organization through current challenges and future growth. PSEG's forward-looking strategy includes investments in carbon-free energy solutions, aligning with broader trends in the energy sector towards cleaner and more efficient power generation.

In conclusion, Geisha J. Williams's election to the PSEG Board of Directors is a promising development for both the company and its community. Her proven leadership, commitment to the energy sector, and understanding of local community dynamics position her as a significant contributor to PSEG's strategic goals as it advances towards a greener future.
