The 14th Near-Future Medical Forum: Enhancing Medical Science
On December 5, 2025, the 14th Near-Future Medical Forum will take place, hosted by Seed Planning Inc. in Sendai. This event aims to disseminate the latest advancements in life sciences and medical research.
Background and Purpose of the Forum
Initiated in 2008, the first forum focused on Alzheimer's disease with discussions around future diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. Since then, the forum has evolved, emphasizing personalized medicine, preventive healthcare, and dementia research. Seed Planning Inc. specializes in market research and consulting in the medical and healthcare sectors. The company's commitment to attaining a long-lasting healthy society drives its focus on drug development, biotechnology, and medical IT. This forum aims to broaden the discussion by introducing new, previously unaddressed themes outside of Tokyo, further promoting the importance of biomedical research.
The upcoming 14th session will be centered on the drug discovery strategies employed by Tohoku University, a leading international research institution. It will also introduce life sciences and collaborative opportunities within the medical and engineering fields. The expected speakers include esteemed members of Tohoku University's Medical School and affiliates involved in the Tohoku Medical Megabank Project. Additionally, there will be presentations and exhibits from startups emerging from Tohoku University.
