This fair aims to promote local produce and share the hidden gems of Kagoshima, recognized for its rich culinary heritage, culture, and history.

1. Chiran Tea Chiffon Cake

The fair will not only showcase delicious products but will also collaborate with local children’s cafeterias to create meaningful experiences. From August 27 to 29, kids will be invited to join the fair by participating in sales techniques and customer interactions at selected Seven-Eleven stores in Kagoshima. This initiative provides children with a memorable summer break while connecting them to their community.

In addition to the fair, Seven-Eleven will initiate a food drive across local stores to combat food waste and address community food insecurity. Starting October 2023, the initiative will collect surplus food donations at roughly 120 stores in Saitama City, and it will also include 183 stores in Kagoshima beginning August 27. This effort provides an opportunity for local residents to engage in social contribution easily through their nearby Seven-Eleven stores.
The fair encourages the public to rediscover Kagoshima by offering a taste of local delicacies wrapped in a cultural context. According to the representatives, “We are excited to present our limited sweets made by using local materials, allowing everyone to experience Kagoshima’s nature and culture once again.”
