Daqo, a leading player in the energy distribution sector, recently participated in The Smarter E Europe 2026 event held in Munich, where the company unveiled a series of cutting-edge solutions aimed at transforming energy management, particularly in the realm of renewable sources. As European markets rush to integrate renewable energy, enhance energy storage, and electrify their infrastructures, the demand for efficient and sustainable solutions is more pressing than ever.

One of the most notable exhibits was Daqo's DQS Air Series medium voltage ring-main unit (RMU), designed without the use of sulfur hexafluoride (SF6). This innovative technology utilizes dry air insulation coupled with vacuum switching, providing an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional SF6-based devices in medium voltage distribution systems. Its compact and hermetically sealed build not only reduces maintenance needs but also ensures reliable operation within urban distribution networks, renewable energy project connections, and modernization initiatives.

Daqo also showcased its latest air-insulated RMU, which similarly does not incorporate SF6, aimed at secondary distribution networks. This solution stands out for its flexible configuration options, intelligent monitoring capabilities, and readiness for remote operations, thus catering to customers looking for more environmentally friendly and manageable energy distribution infrastructure.

In the renewable energy and energy storage domain, Daqo highlighted container solutions for transformer substations specifically designed for photovoltaic systems and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). By integrating high-voltage transformers, medium voltage switchgear, low voltage switchgear, monitoring systems, and auxiliary systems in a pre-fabricated unit, the innovation helps developers and EPC contractors minimize on-site interfaces, streamline coordination, and shorten the timeline from delivery to grid connection.

For sectors with high energy demands, such as data centers, Daqo introduced the DQMpower 2.0—a modular power distribution solution that integrates low voltage distribution, UPS functionalities, power quality management, and monitoring. This solution not only increases deployment efficiency but also optimizes space utilization in electrical rooms and enhances operational visibility.

The event also showcased Daqo's semiconductor transformer technology, which presents a promising platform for flexible interaction between energy grids, loads, energy storage, and DC power systems.

Kevin Lin, Daqo's General Manager for the European region, highlighted during the event how discussions with clients reaffirmed a clear market priority: energy infrastructure projects require cleaner devices, faster grid connections, and increased supply reliability. Daqo is enhancing its local coordination and partner network across Europe to provide clients with integrated technical packages that feature clearer interfaces and stronger execution support.

Daqo's European strategy focuses on combining large-scale production with local coordination and partner support. The company's industrial footprint encompasses 32 manufacturing facilities with expertise spanning medium and low voltage devices, transformers, automation, and system integration. For European clients, this translates into coordinated technical packages, a reduced number of supplier interfaces, and stronger control over delivery execution.

Looking ahead, Daqo remains committed to working closely with operators, developers, EPC contractors, and industrial clients to bolster a cleaner, more reliable, and quicker deploying energy infrastructure throughout Europe.
