Valtra Unveils the 6th Generation T Series Tractors
Valtra, the Finnish tractor manufacturer, has announced the launch of its highly anticipated 6th generation T Series tractors, boasting significant advancements in performance, usability, and connectivity. The new T Series is designed with the needs of professional farmers and contractors in mind, combining the current T Series philosophy with a new AGCO Power CORE75 engine, next-generation driver interfaces like SmartTouch Gen2 and Active Gen2 armrests, as well as an integrated ecosystem that connects field data with tractors through the PTx FarmENGAGE platform.
Powerful and Efficient
The 6th generation T Series tractors offer power ratings ranging from 170 to 245 horsepower, equipped with new Powershift and continuously variable transmissions (CVT). Featuring a configurable SmartTouch Gen2 driver interface, advanced automation functions, precision agriculture capabilities, and remote data management, these tractors redefine usability. The intuitive SmartTouch Gen2 interface centralizes the tractor display on a high-resolution 12-inch touchscreen, allowing users to access various settings through simple icon-based menus, similar to smartphone navigation.
According to AGCO Power lab tests, the new CORE75 engine demonstrates a specific fuel consumption rate up to 5% lower than its predecessor. Independent validation is expected to be completed by the end of 2026. The tractors also feature proportional hydraulic management, ISOBUS TIM tool management, U-PILOT end-of-field sequences, and integrated Valtra Guide steering systems that minimize repetitive adjustments and reduce the driver’s workload.
Tailored to Each User
Valtra emphasizes that the philosophy underpinning the 6th generation T Series development focuses on creating a user-centered design. When tractors are engineered with the operator in mind, the result is an intuitive and natural operating experience. With automated power management linked to transmission systems, adaptable driving modes (ECO, STANDARD, POWER), customizable controls, and connected operational management tools, these tractors simplify complex tasks and allow users to fully concentrate on their work, not just machine operation.
Matti Tiitinen, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Valtra EME, stated, "The 6th generation T Series represents the most significant tractor launch in Valtra's history. It marks major progress for the T Series and our SmartTouch interface, renowned for its ease of use. We've listened to farmers and contractors who requested better performance, reduced operating costs, enhanced connectivity, increased customization, and easier handling. The result is a machine that is particularly user-friendly and helps drivers accomplish more with less effort every day."
Innovations for Efficiency
The AGCO Power CORE75 engine, with six cylinders and a displacement of 7.5 liters, provides up to 245 horsepower and a torque of 1184 Nm in the T236 model. It is partnered with Smart Power Management, which optimizes engine and transmission behavior based on the task at hand and the driver's preferences. This balance of performance and efficiency enables high traction capacity at low RPM while contributing to fuel savings of up to 5% compared to the previous AGCO Power 74HD. The fuel efficiency figure is based on AGCO Power lab tests at optimal consumption points, with independent validation expected by the end of 2026.
Drivers can choose between Eco, Normal, and Power modes. The broad plateau of maximum constant torque available between 1000 and 1500 RPM ensures sustained performance as loads vary. Customers have the option of choosing between the AGCO ML 180 continuously variable transmission or a new Powershift transmission with 10 under-load gears, achieving transport speeds of up to 57 km/h. With a wheelbase of 2950 mm, ground clearance of up to 575 mm, and a turning radius of just 4.9 m (with 600/65R28 front tires), the tractors offer stability, maneuverability, and road performance.
Command System Adapted for Users
The SmartTouch Gen2 interface starts within 22 seconds and includes a 12-inch high-definition touchscreen, customizable work screens with up to 16 defined zones, personalized operator profiles, and up to 12 configurable buttons. The integrated guidance systems, ISOBUS, and management tools streamline day-to-day operations. The new Active Gen2 armrest offers clear and intuitive organization, featuring dedicated controls and customizable functions that synchronize instantly with the SmartDisplay to keep essential information in the driver’s line of sight.
Connected Agriculture as a Standard
From the factory, the T Series with 6th generation technology comes equipped with access to the PTx FarmENGAGE platform. Operators can easily transfer tasks, documents, and agronomic information, even in mixed fleets. Features such as ISOBUS TIM, proportional hydraulic flow management, and load-sensing control improve consistency, reduce effort, and optimize performance in demanding applications.
"The 6th generation T Series combines smart controls, low-speed performance, and connected agricultural tools to create a more natural and intuitive working experience for users," says Johan Grotell, Product Marketing Manager at Valtra EME. "The machine adapts to various drivers, applications, and tools, allowing customers to maximize the use of advanced technologies. With FarmENGAGE, the T Series heralds a new era of true connected ecosystems, where tractors, tools, operational management, and data communicate freely across the entire farm, including within mixed fleets. All these innovations make the new T Series the ideal tractor for agricultural contractors and farmers."
