Husqvarna Group Announces Key Changes in Its Management Team for Future Growth

Major Management Changes at Husqvarna Group

The Husqvarna Group is undertaking notable changes in its management team ahead of what promises to be a transformative chapter for the company. On June 5, 2026, the multinational leader in lawn and garden solutions announced the appointment of Patrik Johnsson as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Johnsson succeeds Terry Burke, who will conclude his tenure on July 31, 2026. Patrik will officially take on the role starting September 11, 2026, with his base located in Stockholm, Sweden.

Before joining Husqvarna, Johnsson held the position of CFO at Indutrade since 2018. His professional background is marked by extensive experience, harnessed over years in senior financial roles at reputable industrial enterprises such as Sandvik and ABB. Known for his prowess in driving performance management and financial governance, he is well-equipped to steer Husqvarna towards enhanced financial health.

In addition to the CFO appointment, Husqvarna has introduced a new pivotal role aimed at solidifying its procurement strategies. Lily Guo has been named the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO), a move that underscores the vital strategic importance of procurement in driving the company's future aspirations. Guo joins the firm from Harman International, a Samsung subsidiary, where she served as Senior Vice President of Global Operations in the Consumer Audio division since 2018. With over 30 years of industry experience in sourcing and purchasing across various international corporations, Guo will officially take up her new duties on August 1, 2026, and will operate from Hong Kong, China.

Furthermore, Anders Candell has been appointed as Chief Information Officer (CIO), taking over from Robert Hafredal, who will be transitioning to another strategic role within the company. Candell comes from Skanska, where he has been instrumental as CIO since 2020. His extensive 20-year track record spans several leadership positions focusing on information technology and enterprise transformation within significant Nordic industrial and telecom organizations such as Telia, Stora Enso, Tele2, and Outokumpu. He will join the executive team in early December 2026, while Hafredal will continue to serve in the current position until then.

Expressing enthusiasm about the new appointments, Husqvarna Group's CEO Glen Instone stated, "I am very pleased with these appointments and with how we are shaping our Group Management team. These leaders bring highly relevant expertise... They will play a key role in advancing our strategic agenda of transforming Husqvarna Group towards profitable growth."

Husqvarna Group's evolution doesn’t stop here. The company, founded in 1689 in Huskvarna, Sweden, has been at the forefront of innovative solutions for managing forests, parks, and gardens for over three centuries. With an active focus on cutting-edge technology and customer-centric solutions, it operates under recognized global brands such as Husqvarna and Gardena. In 2025, the company reported net sales of SEK 46.6 billion and employed around 11,900 people across 40 countries.

These management changes are not just about personnel. They signal a committed effort towards enhancing strategic directions within the company. By focusing on financial performance, procurement value, and digital advancement, Husqvarna Group aims to carve a new growth trajectory, catering to the demands of evolving markets and sustainable practices. As the company prepares for its next phase of growth, the capabilities and vision of the new leaders will be critical in establishing a future-ready organization.
