On September 10, 2025, Bechtel proudly announced the appointment of Ambassador Martina Strong as the new Region President for Central Europe and the Middle East. Strong, a seasoned diplomat, brings nearly 30 years of extensive international experience to this vital role.
Before joining Bechtel, Strong served as the U.S. ambassador to the United Arab Emirates. Her impressive career in the U.S. Foreign Service includes pivotal positions where she influences U.S. policy and fosters commercial interests in diverse regions, including Europe and the Middle East.
A Leader with Diplomatic Acumen
Justin Siberell, President of Regions Government Affairs at Bechtel, emphasized the significance of Strong’s unique blend of diplomatic expertise and strategic leadership. Martina Strong is not only exceptionally skilled in diplomacy but also possesses strong academic credentials. She holds a Master's degree in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Political Science from Southern Methodist University. She will operate from Bechtel's London office, further bridging connections across the regions she oversees.
