Haier Unveils Cutting-Edge AI Smart Home Ecosystem at IFA 2026

At the IFA 2026 exhibition, held in Berlin from September 4 to 8, Haier, recognized as the world's largest home appliance brand for 17 consecutive years, introduced its revolutionary AI-powered smart home ecosystem. Under the theme "Home of Intelligent Possibilities," Haier demonstrated how connected devices can efficiently meet the various needs of everyday life. The showcased ecosystem encompasses various functions, including garment care, refrigeration, cooking, entertainment, digital services, and robotics, making household chores more intuitive and efficient.

Intelligent Adaptation to Daily Needs

Central to Haier's presentation was the ability of AI to transform real-time data into practical, actionable insights for smarter appliance operation. For instance, the Vision 15 washer employs advanced algorithms, internal cameras, and sensors to analyze load characteristics such as size and balance, adjusting water levels, detergent dispensing, drum movements, and cycle settings accordingly. In a similar vein, Haier's Maestro prototype in refrigeration integrates various technologies to maintain food freshness. Its AI Food Care System 2.0 identifies stored items and suggests optimal storage conditions, enabling users to manage their food inventory more effectively.

The ID Ultimate Series 6 oven exemplifies similar technology in cooking. With a built-in camera that recognizes prepared dishes, it monitors cooking progress and can even terminate the program when desired results are achieved. Furthermore, the UltraSense AI continually assesses media content and ambient conditions to dynamically adjust image and sound quality on Haier Smart TVs. This interconnected approach empowers a cohesive smart home experience across laundry, food storage, cooking, and entertainment.

Enhancing User Experience Through Smart Technology

To facilitate integration, Haier highlighted its hOn app, an all-in-one platform that connects smart products and services within the Haier ecosystem. This digital environment allows devices to collaborate according to users' daily habits, translating the potential of connected technology into practical home benefits. According to Euromonitor International, Haier leads the global smart home market with a revenue share surpassing others in this industry, recording over 130 million registered users worldwide and an astounding 86.1 billion interactions within smart scenarios in 2025.

Bridging AI and Physical Tasks

Haier also showcased the physical embodiment of smart home capabilities through humanoid robots that work with household appliances, robotic cleaning systems that identify objects and types of dirt, and companion robots designed for voice-activated assistance and personalized support. Their innovative exoskeleton technology represents a significant leap, as it interprets users' motion intentions in real time, adjusting support levels to help users move more naturally and smoothly.

Each of these demonstrations reflects Haier's strategic initiative to integrate AI, household technology, and robotics in addressing practical human requirements. Additionally, Haier's open innovation system, termed "10+N," supports the development of this extensive technology portfolio by merging global research resources with localized user insights.

In the first half of 2026, Haier again attained top-ranked status in the IPRdaily global index of smart home technology patents—a distinction that marks its 15th consecutive year at the forefront of innovation. Looking ahead, Haier plans to invest at least €13 billion over the next five years, focusing on critical technologies, including AI, semiconductors, and IoT security, which will form the foundation of its transition to AI-first solutions.

Moreover, Haier's presence at IFA reinforces its active global partnerships in sports through the slogan "Play with the Number Ones," emphasizing the brand's commitment to excellence in sports alongside innovation and high-performance user experiences around the globe.

Overall, visitors to IFA 2026 experienced firsthand the smart home advances from Haier at Hall 3.1, Booth 101.
