The ceremony commenced with President Masatomi Izumi sharing an inspiring speech. He engaged the children directly, asking, “Do you like animals? Do you like bugs? Do you like trains?” The enthusiastic responses of “Yes!” resonated throughout the venue, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Izumi emphasized, "That feeling is your treasure. So please find the things that excite you. Although the ceremony took place in Shibuya, our school is located in Toyosu, and from there we connect to the entire world. One day, you will step out into the world. We hope our children will think critically, connect with others, and live not just in Japan but globally."

He concluded his speech by expressing the school's commitment to grow alongside the parents, nurturing the children together in a supportive environment.

Embracing New Beginnings

Next, the President of Kikagaku Co., Masahiro Osaki, took the stage to share his thoughts. He expressed his gratitude for celebrating this special occasion with everyone.

His message focused on the holistic education the school aims to provide, stating, "We want children to learn knowledge, but we also wish to foster their thinking, communication skills, and the courage to try new things. We understand some of you might be feeling apprehensive as this is our first year. However, being new allows us to be flexible. At the same time, we are committed to ensuring your children’s safety, growth, and happiness, which are our top priorities. Together, we hope to build this school with your support."

His heartfelt promise to prioritize children's safety and development was met with warm applause from the audience, reinforcing the community spirit.

A Ceremony Full of Smiles

Following the speeches, the attendees enjoyed a short video introducing the school, and the children's eyes sparkled with curiosity. Head of School Tomohiro Nakata introduced the dedicated faculty, including Vice Principal Valarie, who serves as the IB Coordinator, along with the teaching team for K2, K3, and K4 classes.

As the ceremony drew to a close, each grade level gathered for a group photo. Despite the rain, the children's beaming smiles and the warm gazes of their parents created a heartwarming scene.
