Impact Capital Managers Launches 2025 Mosaic Fellowship for Future Impact Investors

Impact Capital Managers Announces 2025 Mosaic Fellows

Impact Capital Managers (ICM) has unveiled the sixth cohort of its much-anticipated Mosaic Fellowship, reaffirming its commitment to the future of impact investing. This prestigious initiative not only focuses on talent development but emphasizes creating a diverse pool of professionals equipped to tackle the challenges of impactful investing. In this year's program, 26 exceptional graduate students will join 25 leading funds, marking a record high for both participants and host funds.

To initiate the fellowship, ICM holds a comprehensive two-day orientation in New York City. This event features a series of panels, workshops, and networking opportunities, where fellows will engage with influential alumni, top investment professionals, and academic experts. Additionally, each fellow is matched with an experienced mentor from the ICM network to guide them throughout their journey.

The 10-week fellowship allows students to immerse themselves in various aspects of impact investing. This includes hands-on experiences in sourcing investments, conducting due diligence, and supporting portfolio companies. Furthermore, they have access to exclusive networking events that help expand their professional circles in the impact investment community.

The success of the Mosaic Fellowship is evident in its impressive placement rates. Since its inception, 41% of Mosaic alumni have transitioned into full-time roles at ICM member funds, a testament to the program’s ability to prepare its participants for successful careers within the field. Notably, another 29% of alumni have leveraged their skills to secure positions in notable organizations in the broader sustainable finance sector.

ICM's membership includes prominent firms such as Closed Loop Partners, EcoSystem Integrity Fund, and Clean Energy Ventures, all of which have hired Mosaic alumni. Ted Dillion, COO at Clean Energy Ventures, remarked, “The Mosaic Fellowship is a catalytic force in advancing both talent diversity and mission alignment within impact investing.” This sentiment highlights the role of the fellowship in fostering impactful career trajectories for emerging leaders.

Since its launch in 2019 with fewer than 50 applicants, the program has experienced exponential growth, now drawing over 500 applicants in 2025. After this summer, more than 100 fellows will have completed the program, reflecting a growing interest in experiential learning and the need for trained professionals in impact investment.

Former Mosaic Fellow Fernando Carranza, now a Venture Investor, describes the program as transformative: “Mosaic didn’t just open a door – it gave me the confidence and clarity to walk through it with purpose.” Many alumni, like Carranza, give back by mentoring future fellows, thereby perpetuating a cycle of support and growth within the community.

Marieke Spence, Executive Director at ICM, emphasized the increasing demand for such programs: “2024 saw an almost two-fold increase in applications. There’s no doubt that the demand for experiential learning opportunities like Mosaic continues to grow, even amidst market volatility.”

In conclusion, the Mosaic Fellowship serves as a critical platform for nurturing tomorrow's leaders in impact investing. ICM is dedicated to building a strong pipeline of talent that can not only thrive in this evolving field but also contribute meaningfully to the global landscape of finance. As the program continues to evolve, all eyes will be on these bright minds shaping the future of investment.
