Continued Expansion of the Oshirobots Franchise
The
Oshirobots series presents a unique interpretation of Japan's rich castle heritage, envisioning what would happen if these historical landmarks were transformed into colossal robots. The series debuted in December 2022 with the announcement of three Oshirobots inspired by
Kumamoto Castle,
Takamatsu Castle, and
Aizu-Wakamatsu Castle, alongside a short anime film directed by
Masami Obari.
The franchise has grown significantly since then, with talented direction guiding the ongoing narrative expansion, including the addition of world heritage sites such as
Himeji Castle and a roster of other notable castles. Upcoming plans include Oshirobots from
Hiroshima Castle,
Marugame Castle, and
Osaka Castle, ensuring that history lovers and anime fans alike can anticipate a wonderfully imaginative experience ahead.
