Yogibo and Versailles Resort Farm Team Up for Horse Retirement Event in Tokyo

Connecting People and Horses: A Special Event by Yogibo and Versailles Resort Farm

On October 19, 2025, Tokyo will witness a remarkable collaboration between Yogibo, a company renowned for its incredibly comfortable bean bag chairs, and the Versailles Resort Farm, a haven for retired racehorses located in Hidaka, Hokkaido. This special event, titled "Connecting People and Horses," aims to raise awareness about the lives and needs of retired racehorses. With support from the Thoroughbred Aftercare and Welfare (TAW), the event will take place from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the central plaza of Futako Tamagawa Rise.

A Celebration of Retired Racehorses

The event will feature numerous engaging activities, exhibitions, and experiences designed to educate the public about the importance of supporting retired racehorses. Notably, guests can witness retired racehorses up close, interact with them, and understand the significance of animal welfare and compassion. A portion of the event's proceeds will be directed toward their care, further highlighting the commitment to these majestic animals.

Originally, the famous racehorse Wonder Acute was scheduled to attend the event. However, prioritizing the horse's health, its participation has been postponed, with alternative retired racehorses being selected for the event's demonstrations. Attendees are encouraged to refer to the official social media channels of Yogibo and Versailles Resort Farm for the latest updates.

Expanding Awareness for Horse Welfare

Since 2020, Yogibo has been actively involved in supporting the Versailles Resort Farm, focusing on creating a safe haven where retired racehorses can live peacefully. In 2023, they hosted a successful event featuring the notable racehorse Admire Japan, which drew approximately 10,000 attendees and spread awareness about the significance of retiring horses.

The upcoming event in Tokyo is a new initiative aimed at bringing awareness to a broader audience, especially urban dwellers who may not have had previous exposure to supporting retired racehorses. The goal is to demonstrate animal sympathy and the value of life while providing a family-friendly atmosphere that allows parents and children to engage in learning experiences together.

The Journey of the Retired Racehorses

The retired racehorses will arrive at Futako Tamagawa Rise via specialized transport vehicles from Hokkaido's Hidaka region. Throughout the journey, their well-being will be the top priority, ensuring they travel in comfort with appropriate breaks at designated farms. Updates on their journey will be shared on the Versailles Resort Farm's official social media accounts, giving followers insights into the event's preparations.
