A Spectacular Display of Fashion

The city of Shenzhen was once again at the forefront of fashion innovation as it hosted the 29th Fashion Source Shenzhen and SS25 Shenzhen Original Design Fashion Week from November 21 to November 23, 2024. This significant event, organized by GL Events-Pengcheng Exhibition in collaboration with the Shenzhen Clothing Supply Chain Association, took place at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, spanning an impressive 70,000 square meters.

Over the course of three dynamic days, the events featured more than 1,200 global exhibitors, nine themed exhibition zones, over 300 business matchmaking sessions, and nearly 30 fashion shows. This attracted an estimated 50,000 visitors from around the world, eager to witness the latest trends in the fashion industry and engage in vibrant discussions about the future of fashion.

Among the standout features were the FS 25-26AW Knitting Trends, the FS UrLib Selected, and an innovative zone dedicated to sustainable fashion. Attendees also explored areas focusing on sports fashion trends and national heritage, all of which were beautifully curated to demonstrate a fusion of creativity, technology, and sustainability.

The Importance of Innovation

During this year’s events, the Fashion Source China Clothing Supply Chain Summit embraced the theme “BOUNDARYLESS.” This summit was designed to provide a dual-track experience, offering both a main summit session and an engaging sub-venue named MulFUN Fab. Over 50 thought leaders in the fashion industry participated, sharing their insights across 30 forums covering critical topics such as knitwear innovation, sustainable practices in fashion, and the infusion of emerging technologies into traditional craftsmanship.

A Celebration of 10 Years of Creativity

Significantly, this year marked the 10th anniversary of the Shenzhen Original Design Fashion Week, celebrated under the theme of “Special ‘Ten’ Moments.” This celebration was highlighted by nearly 30 vibrant fashion shows featuring over 150 designer brands, each showcasing the creative prowess of emerging designers from the Greater Bay Area. The atmosphere was electric, with full-capacity runway shows that transcended culture and art, beautifully capturing the creativity inherent in the showcased collections.
