SOMPO Himawari Life Insurance and Okazaki City's Health Partnership
On August 18, 2025, SOMPO Himawari Life Insurance Co., Ltd. (CEO: Yasuki Kume) officially entered into an agreement with the city of Okazaki (Mayor: Yasuhiro Uchida) to promote health among its residents.
Background and Purpose
SOMPO Himawari aims to be a "health-supporting company". Alongside providing essential insurance, the company has introduced a pioneering concept called "Insurhealth®" that combines traditional insurance functions with health support. This approach symbolizes a commitment to enhancing daily health and well-being.
Meanwhile, the city of Okazaki strives to fulfill its vision of being a "healthy and rich city" by extending health lifespan and addressing health disparities. The collaborative agreement with SOMPO Himawari is expected to enhance the health of Okazaki's residents through mutual cooperation and concerted activities.
