Kuaishou's Commitment to Women's Empowerment

On August 14, 2025, Kuaishou Technology, a prominent content community and social platform, presented its unwavering dedication to empowering women at the "APEC Her Power for a Sustainable Future" Roundtable Forum held in Incheon, South Korea. The company's Vice President and chairperson of the Kuaishou Charity Foundation, Song Tingting, detailed the pivotal role that digital innovation plays in expanding opportunities for women and enhancing their leadership capabilities.

The theme of this year's forum, "Our Sustainable Tomorrow – Connection, Innovation, Prosperity," attracted female leaders worldwide who gathered to exchange views on promoting sustainability through the digital economy and innovative public welfare models. In her speech during the session titled "Digital Empowerment for Women's All-Round Development," Song emphasized Kuaishou's initiatives aimed at closing the digital divide and creating pathways for women in entrepreneurship and employment.

Song highlighted that short video and livestreaming platforms have revolutionized traditional business models, granting women an increasingly significant role in revitalizing rural areas and stimulating economic development. As digital technology adoption accelerates globally, women have emerged as a critical force driving social progress and economic diversification. By the end of 2024, Kuaishou had facilitated the creation of 43.2 million jobs and 174 new professions, fundamentally transforming the nature of employment and allowing women greater flexibility to attain economic independence and participate in societal activities.

"Kuaishou initiated its digital skills talent development program in 2018 to explore new models that empower women in the digital age," Song remarked. Programs such as "Happy Village Leaders" and "Happy Lecture Hall" provide livestream e-commerce training specifically designed for rural women, effectively transforming digital tools into modern farming assets that promote local agricultural products.

Kuaishou also formed a partnership in 2022 with the China Women's Development Foundation to launch the "Her Power Rural Revitalization Support Program." This initiative has successfully trained over 1,200 rural women entrepreneurs through comprehensive e-commerce talent incubation and support for small businesses.

With a user base of hundreds of millions, Kuaishou has developed a dynamic and trustworthy digital community where women stand out as some of the most active creators. "We are committed to enhance support for women creators, which includes investments in visibility, funding, and training," affirmed Song. "We aspire to see more women showcasing creativity and leadership on our platform, significantly contributing to broader socio-economic development."
