What is Tokyo Ramen Festa?
Tokyo Ramen Festa aims to promote tourism, food education, and culinary culture through the beloved dish of ramen. This year, suggested ramen shops from various local events and organizations will showcase their best offerings, providing attendees with a unique opportunity to savor regional specialties and discover new favorites. The event's structure consists of three distinct segments, each with 13 ramen shops:
- - First Segment: October 23 - October 26
- - Second Segment: October 27 - October 30
- - Third Segment: October 31 - November 3
Each segment features a rotating selection of ramen shops, ensuring that visitors can enjoy a variety of flavors throughout the festival.
Noteworthy Highlights
This year's festival is particularly exciting as it will feature the return of beloved ramen shops that have closed in the past, much to the dismay of fans. Additionally,
23 debuting ramen shops will offer exclusive dishes available only at the festival, making it a must-visit destination for ramen lovers.
The first segment will see participation from famous Tokyo ramen establishments and acclaimed shops that have gained attention within the ramen community. Expect collaborations with popular ramen YouTube channels and the opportunity to taste ramen styles that have garnered buzz in the industry.
In the second segment, discover new favorites as popular ramen shops make their festival debuts, including renowned establishments from
Hokkaido and a trending shop known for its
Sano ramen. Fans of late-night dining will also have the chance to try a midnight-special ramen that's unique to
Ehime. Notably, a ramen shop that sadly closed in
Meguro, Tokyo, will be resurrected for just four days to serve a limited-time menu, making it an unmissable experience.
For the thrilling conclusion during the third segment, attendees can indulge in ramen from shops that frequently create long lines at regional events. Highlighted offerings will include the popular
Tsugaru niboshi ramen from
Aomori, and a collaborative ramen dish crafted by two renowned shops from different regions, showcasing the best of what Japan has to offer. Plus, the festival will introduce a ramen shop that has ventured to
the Netherlands, aiming to share the deliciousness of Japanese ramen with an international audience. This segment promises a lineup of ramen that ranks among Japan's top-tier offerings.
