Initially, Ject One explored the possibility of renovating the building back into residential units. However, upon inspection, it became clear that the costs associated with modernizing the necessary water facilities would be prohibitively high. Moreover, demand for older apartments catering to single residents in the area was low. Instead, Ject One identified a more promising alternative: converting the space into small offices for startups and entrepreneurs, capitalizing on its proximity to the bustling business district of Gotanda.

The reimagining of this property involved various design elements aimed at preserving its historical charm while accommodating modern needs. The vision for the interiors leaned heavily into an industrial style, emphasizing an open and collaborative workspace.
