PIAZZA and Seibu Properties Management Win Cultural Facilities Operations in Nakano Ward

New Era for Nakano's Cultural Facilities Management

In a significant development for the Nakano Ward, PIAZZA Inc., in collaboration with Seibu Properties Management, has been appointed as the designated manager for three cultural facilities in the area, set to commence operations in April 2026. This marks the first change in management since the designation system was implemented in April 2006 and is a pioneering venture for PIAZZA in managing public facilities.

Designated Cultural Facilities

The partnership, known as Nakano Empowerment Partners, will oversee the following three cultural venues:
1. Nakano Momijiyama Cultural Center (popularly known as Nakano ZERO)
2. Nakano Nogata Citizen's Hall
3. Nakano Performing Arts Small Theater

All these facilities play a crucial role in promoting cultural arts in Nakano Ward and supporting lifelong learning opportunities for residents. The Nakano ZERO, with its large auditorium accommodating 1,292 seats, alongside smaller venues, aims to provide a stage for both cultural activities and artistic performances.

Last year alone, these facilities attracted approximately 980,000 visitors, showcasing their importance to the community. By managing these venues, PIAZZA aims to enhance accessibility and public participation in cultural and artistic endeavors across the district.

Objectives of the Management Initiative

This new management initiative emphasizes not only maintaining and operating these cultural facilities but also fostering collaboration with various local entities such as the Nakano Ward Office, community centers, and private sector establishments. By doing so, they hope to create numerous opportunities for local residents to experience and engage with cultural and artistic events.

PIAZZA seeks to leverage Nakano's rich cultural assets and community resources, dedicating itself to the support of local cultural activities. The organization aims to enrich the lives of residents through various cultural experiences, promoting lifelong learning and appreciation for the arts.

By nurturing a distinct Nakano culture in collaboration with residents, PIAZZA intends to contribute significantly to the advancement of cultural arts and local revitalization.
