Hormel Foods Announces Leadership Changes
Hormel Foods Corporation recently made headlines with its official announcement regarding significant leadership changes within the organization. Effective from July 14, 2025, John Ghingo will ascend to the role of President of Hormel Foods, becoming the eleventh individual to hold this prestigious position since the company’s establishment nearly 135 years ago. Simultaneously, Jeffrey M. Ettinger will return to the company as the interim Chief Executive Officer for a predefined period of 15 months.
Ghingo, who is currently serving as the Executive Vice President for Retail, will oversee the company's largest business unit and manage an impressive portfolio of recognizable consumer brands. His extensive background includes 15 years of experience in leadership roles at Mondelēz International, as well as his previous position as president of Applegate Farms, LLC, a subsidiary of Hormel Foods. With a strong track record in the consumer packaged goods industry, Ghingo is poised to lead the company’s Retail, Foodservice, and International business segments in addition to overseeing global operations, supply chain management, research and development, and corporate strategy functions.
