SAKISHIMA LIGHTING ART: A Dazzling Finale at Osaka Expo

As the Osaka-Kansai Expo draws near its conclusion, the iconic Sakishima Cosmo Tower is poised to enthrall visitors with the spectacular light art display known as SAKISHIMA LIGHTING ART. This event is set to run until October 13, 2025, with evening showings every day after sunset until 11 PM.

Located in the Osaka Bay area, the lighting art is a large-scale laser mapping display, marking a first for the Kansai region and one of the largest in Japan. Designed to mesmerize, this innovative installation transforms the northern exterior walls of the Sakishima Cosmo Tower into a vibrant canvas of light and creativity. The displays change with the seasons and reflect the colors of the Expo, showcasing a range of themes from birth to radiance, and transition.

The overall theme, “Colors of Life, Shine of the Future,” encapsulates the interconnectedness of life and nature, channeling the energy and beauty that the changing seasons bring forth. Each seasonal act tells a story visually through environmental data from the year the Osaka Expo was held back in 1970.
