Chobani's Ongoing Commitment to Combat Hunger Through Community Grants

Chobani has once again demonstrated its commitment to addressing hunger in America by announcing the eighth annual Community Impact Fund. This initiative focuses on supporting local organizations that play a vital role in tackling food insecurity, particularly among children and underserved communities across the country.

According to recent statistics, nearly one in five children in the U.S. faces food insecurity. This alarming figure underscores the urgent need for effective interventions at the community level. Chobani believes that the best solutions to this crisis originate from local organizations that are deeply entrenched in their communities. These nonprofits have the understanding and resources necessary to distribute nourishing food to those in need.

In collaboration with La Colombe, Chobani has awarded a total of $400,000 in grants to 40 nonprofit organizations across various regions, aiming to enhance access to nutritious food and improve local food infrastructure. Since the inception of the Community Impact Fund in 2018, Chobani has allocated nearly $2 million to over 70 organizations, fostering healthier and more resilient communities.

This year’s funding focuses on impactful efforts in Chobani’s core areas, such as Central New York and Idaho's Magic Valley, and extends its reach to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Muskegon, Michigan. As highlighted by Nishant Roy, Chobani’s Chief Impact Officer, “Local organizations are paving the way for real change at a time when hunger is escalating nationwide.” He emphasizes that sustainable community development requires ongoing investment and robust local leadership.
