Kids Experience Mock Elections at KidZania to Promote Civic Engagement
Kids Experience Mock Elections at KidZania
From February 6 to 8, 2026, children will have the chance to participate in a mock election at three KidZania locations across Japan: Tokyo, Koshien, and Fukuoka. This initiative, organized by KCJ GROUP, aims to engage young participants with the electoral process in anticipation of the upcoming 51st House of Representatives election in Japan.
Since its inception in 2012, this event has taken place in sync with national elections for the eleventh time this year. As the significant election approaches, KidZania aims to provide an immersive voting experience, helping children understand the importance of civic participation, such as selecting representatives and expressing their opinions about social issues.
Highlights of the Mock Election
- Realistic Voting Equipment: The mock election will feature actual voting boxes and equipment used by local authorities, offering children a taste of real democratic processes.
