AD Works Group Expands Asset Strategy with New Hotel Launch in Fukuoka

In a significant step towards its expansion strategy, AD Works Group's subsidiary, AD Works, has launched the Quintessa Hotel Fukuoka Watanabe-dori Comic & Books, marking the company's first foray into hotel assets in Fukuoka's central district. The hotel opened its doors following extensive renovations that were completed in October 2025, which greatly enhanced both the interior and exterior aesthetics. This strategic move positions AD Works to capitalize on the continuing growth of inbound tourism, projected to increase significantly by 2030 as Japan aims for 60 million foreign visitors per year.

The remodeled hotel underwent a substantial upgrade, with around 200 million yen invested primarily in modernizing common areas such as the reception and lounge. Additionally, the hotel has been transformed to include a dedicated cabin (semi-private) floor, which caters specifically to male guests, thus improving capacity while maximizing functionality and profitability. The upgraded facilities, which now boast a clean and welcoming ambiance, are equipped with a manga library housing approximately 10,000 comics, complemented by luxurious bathing facilities.

As Fukuoka is labeled the “gateway to Asia,” it has emerged as a key international tourism hub, making it a focal locale for AD Works’ operational growth. This development reflects the company’s commitment to diversifying its asset portfolio and enhancing its real estate reconstruction projects. Leveraging both existing expertise in property procurement and renovation techniques, AD Works aims to evolve and innovate its asset sale ventures to better serve the thriving inbound market.

Furthermore, the accumulated knowledge from renovations and hotel operations will also lay the groundwork for new lodging ventures under AD Works, which aspire to realize a corporate vision of 20 billion yen in pre-tax profits and a 40% market share in the B-to-C sector by 2034. The company has consistently focused on the efficient utilization of a wide range of assets to drive growth and innovation.

Founded in 1886 and operating from Tokyo with branches in Osaka, Fukuoka, and Los Angeles, AD Works Group has transformed from its origins as Aoki Dyeing Works into a comprehensive investment solutions provider centered on real estate. The company is not only known for its rich legacy of over 140 years but is also recognized for its forward-thinking mission: to ("Dye the World in Vivid Colors") through creativity and resilience.

The Quintessa Hotel's opening signifies the beginning of a new chapter in AD Works' continual journey of growth and development in the competitive hospitality market. With an eye firmly placed on building a robust portfolio and enhancing the guest experience, AD Works is poised for significant advancements in the real estate sector. This strategic launch in Fukuoka lays the foundation for future expansions and reinforces the company’s commitment to understanding and fulfilling the needs of guests, thereby enriching Japan’s vibrant tourism landscape.
