AEON Launches New Eiken Preparation Course for Kids

AEON, a leading English conversation school in Japan, is starting the application process for its newly designed course aimed at students preparing for the Eiken (Step) test. Commencing on August 4, 2026, this initiative focuses on 4th and 5th-grade students, targeting those who are about to take the Eiken exam for the first time.

Course Overview

The Eiken preparation course consists of six sessions and will take place from September 28 to November 16, 2026. With the increasing demand for English proficiency due to mandatory English classes starting from the 3rd grade and the competitive nature of middle school entrance exams, AEON recognizes the necessity for early English education. According to a survey conducted by AEON in June 2025, a significant percentage of parents (47%) expressed the desire for their children to achieve at least a Grade 3 Eiken certification before graduation, yet 74% of these children had not yet passed any Eiken levels. This gap highlights the need for structured support in English language learning.
