Happiness Corporation Partners with Sakura Jujigroup for a Well-Being Future

Collaboration for a Better Future in Healthcare

On April 23, 2025, Sakura Jujigroup, committed to enhancing well-being through healthcare and preventive medical services, has officially partnered with Happiness Corporation, led by CEO Shuji Kimoto. This partnership will leverage the combined strengths and visions of both organizations to embark on new challenges aimed at creating a healthier future.

Background and Purpose of the Alliance

Sakura Jujigroup, under the slogan "WELL-BEING FRONTIER," has made strides in improving well-being for individuals and society, with a focus on healthcare and caregiving. The recently formed partnership with Happiness Corporation, which aims to provide happiness through IT, blends seamlessly with this mission. Happiness Corporation is known for their innovative monitoring system, "Happiness Kizuna," which is designed for hospitals and caregiving facilities.

The meeting of our two companies feels like a unique connection, as both share a passion for improving lives. We were particularly inspired by CEO Kimoto's vision of "happiness," motivating us to walk this path together. Our partnership will support the realization of Happiness Corporation's vision and utilize our knowledge and networks to co-create new values.

Upcoming Showcase at the Expo

Happiness Corporation will showcase its innovative technology at the Kansai Osaka Expo, specifically within the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion from April 29 to May 5, 2025. The "Reborn Challenge" will highlight the contributions of small businesses and startups from Osaka, with the theme focusing on technology and wellness spaces.

During the exhibition, they will introduce a newly developed device called "Mi-Rack." This significant opportunity will allow the company to share its advancements with a broad audience, promoting healthcare awareness and showcasing how technology can enhance physical health and beauty in modern offices.

Introduction of Mi-Rack

"Mi-Rack" is a compact non-contact sensor designed to detect slight changes in temperature and humidity during urination. This device has been re-engineered from a sheet-style format to a portable design, allowing it to be simply placed on a wheelchair for easy and hygienic monitoring. Alerts are sent to smartphones when any changes occur. This device aims not only to assist healthcare professionals but also to aid individuals who may have become desensitized to their bodily signals.

Insights from Leadership

Shuji Kimoto, CEO of Happiness Corporation, commented, "This capital and business alliance represents a major step toward fulfilling our vision of providing happiness through IT on a larger scale. The idea for Mi-Rack stemmed from a poignant encounter at an exhibition with a woman suffering from multiple sclerosis, who expressed her struggles with managing her condition. Our desire to provide assistance through our technology grew from her heartfelt story. Presenting this product at the expo gives us invaluable exposure to individuals facing similar challenges around the world."

Kimoto emphasized that while they cannot directly "heal" the body, they are firmly committed to supporting mental health. Feedback during demonstrations of the non-contact sensor was instrumental in evolving Mi-Rack further, grounded in the voices of both patients and dedicated medical professionals. The goal remains to foster a supportive environment for healthcare workers while prioritizing overall well-being.

Takanaka Nobu, Executive Officer and CIO of Sakura Jujigroup, highlighted that effective waste care is crucial for both user dignity and comfort. With Mi-Rack, they aim to transition traditional healthcare practices reliant on experience alone into a more informed, tech-savvy approach. This initiative aims to alleviate the burdens faced by caregivers and prompt a review of existing work methods.

Ultimately, the products born from this collaboration are envisioned as pioneers of next-generation care, leveraging IT to uphold the dignity and health of each individual. As they prepare to extend these devices to those with lower limb paralysis, both organizations are committed to shaping a richer well-being environment for patients and healthcare staff alike. Through active participation in the digital transformation, they aim to support everyone facing hardships in their daily lives.
