Huawei Unveils Enhanced AI WAN Solution to Foster Carrier Growth in the Age of 5G

Huawei's Enhanced AI WAN Solution Unveiled

Huawei took center stage at the Net5.5G Intelligent IP Network Summit held in Paris on October 14, 2025, unveiling a groundbreaking upgrade to its AI WAN solution. This upgraded solution is part of an ambitious vision encapsulated in the theme "Thrive with Net5.5G for All Intelligence." By leveraging a robust AI-oriented architecture, Huawei aims to address the pressing growth challenges faced by carriers in today's competitive telecom landscape.

Leon Wang, the President of Huawei's Data Communication Product Line, presented insights into this innovative architecture that comprises three essential layers: AI-driven devices, AI-driven connectivity, and an AI-centric brain. Each layer plays a crucial role in redefining IP bearer networks for the Net5.5G era, facilitating a swift transition for carriers into a new trajectory of growth.

Challenges in the Current Landscape

The telecom industry is experiencing plateauing growth in home broadband services, alongside increasing commoditization of service packages. To combat these trends, Huawei's AI WAN solution integrates powerful identification and profiling engines, termed 'Xingluo.' This feature enhances monetization opportunities at the application level, enabling carriers to innovate and design differentiated service packages. Utilizing multi-dimensional profiling techniques, the solution's capacity to identify potential customers is now over 90% accurate, addressing the industry's need for more personalized services.

Meeting the Demand for AI Computing

The demand for AI computing solutions is on the rise, prompting partnerships like the one with China Telecom Shanghai. Huawei's AI WAN solution facilitated the launch of private lines geared towards intelligent computing, effectively resolving performance bottlenecks commonly seen in traditional networks. The advanced Xingluo lossless algorithm provided within this solution ensures precise congestion control at the flow level, alongside security through a robust vector conversion engine. By enabling collaborative training between edge and cloud networks, the solution is projected to drastically increase carrier Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) tenfold and deliver a return on investment (ROI) within just two years.

Enhancing Security Resilience

As network complexities increase, so do the risks associated with cyber-attacks. The AI WAN solution addresses this challenge by enhancing security resilience across various layers—device, network, and configuration. It provides session-level fault isolation and quantum-resistant encryption, setting a new benchmark for network protection. Additionally, the online configuration simulation feature allows operators to monitor thousands of devices in merely ten minutes, significantly reducing human error and thereby bolstering customer service protections.

Innovative Network Management

The expansion of networks places immense pressure on traditional operation models. To remedy this, Huawei's NetMaster system offers round-the-clock network protection and transitions from reactive to proactive network management. For instance, with the help of a vast knowledge database containing 300,000 cases, China Mobile Guangdong has remarkably reduced diagnosis time from 45 minutes to just 5. In another instance, MasOrange Spain implemented a 'L4 IP autonomous driving network,' powered by Huawei's AI WAN solution, which has resulted in a substantial decrease in average repair times, cost reductions, and increased operational efficiency.

Recognition and Awards

The summit culminated with the Net5.5G Pioneer Award Ceremony, honoring over 10 global carriers that are accelerating the worldwide commercial deployment of Net5.5G technologies. This recognition underscores the importance and potential impact of Huawei's innovations in shaping the future of telecommunications.

In conclusion, Huawei's newly enhanced AI WAN solution not only aims to boost carrier growth but also sets the stage for the future of intelligent networking, where AI plays a pivotal role in network management, security, and service differentiation.
