Aramco Asia Japan Collaborates with Minna no Code for Noto Tech Hub Fund
In a promising development for the educational landscape in the Noto Peninsula, Aramco Asia Japan (AAJ) has reached an agreement with
Minna no Code to launch the
Noto Tech Hub Fund. This initiative is part of Aramco's commitment to global citizenship and aims to provide a free space for children impacted by the
Noto Peninsula Earthquake that occurred on January 1, 2024. The goal is to create an environment where children can freely engage with cutting-edge digital technology and discover their potential.
Representing AAJ, President
Waleed M. Murad expressed deep concern regarding the impact of the earthquake, as well as the severe rains experienced in September. He stated, "We are saddened by the ramifications of the Noto Peninsula earthquake, and in collaboration with Minna no Code, we have decided to establish a ‘Tech Hub’ that children can easily access in their local community. We hope this fund will serve as a catalyst for the children of Noto to take a new step forward."
Overview of the Noto Tech Hub Fund
The establishment of the Noto Tech Hub is intended to counteract the reduction in learning opportunities faced by children in the wake of the earthquake. The initiative underscores a commitment to support STEAM education, which is essential for fostering creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a rapidly advancing technological world.
The Tech Hub will not only provide access to advanced digital tools but also offer an engaging atmosphere where children can learn through experience. It aims to empower them to utilize technology, thereby nurturing their confidence and capabilities in the digital age. The endeavor is expected to commence from September 2025 and extend until the end of February 2028.
Continued Partnership with Minna no Code
Since last year, AAJ and Minna no Code have collaborated on the
Aramco STEAM Challenge, which focuses on broadening STEAM education within public middle and high schools. This ongoing partnership will continue to flourish through additional programs designed to enhance educational outreach and technology access for the Noto region's youth.
