Online Seminar on Elderly Care Prevention and Volunteer Points DX
株式会社ベスプラ, headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo, in collaboration with Hachioji city, is set to host an online seminar titled "Learning from Advanced Examples: The Impact and Reality of DX in Elderly Care Prevention and Volunteer Points" on August 20, 2025, starting at 14:00.
Background of the Event
Hachioji city has garnered attention from municipalities across the nation for its innovative elderly care prevention point system called 'Teku Po'. This program utilizes a smartphone app to convert daily activities like walking and brain training into health-promoting points, including voluntary activities. Through digital transformation (DX), the initiative has streamlined management operations and reduced costs, contributing to sustained participation and enhancement of health among the elderly over three years. Notably, this initiative was awarded the grand prize at the "Japan Health Conference 2024" organized by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry. Hachioji's aim to move away from ineffective elderly care strategies has been widely recognized, and it is one of the 15 municipalities chosen to receive the 'Insurer Function Enhancement Promotion Grant' based on performance. Due to the numerous requests from various municipalities wanting to learn about the implementation and management strategies, this seminar has been arranged.
Seminar Overview
The event will feature a keynote address from the CEO of Bespla, followed by a case study presentation by Hachioji city officials. Participants will be able to gain insights into the effects and actual workings of DX in elderly care prevention and volunteer points. Additionally, there will be a panel discussion wherein municipal staff can share their perspectives and exchange ideas on tailoring DX applications to their local contexts.
