SANY's Brazilian Manufacturing Facility Unveils First Hydraulic Excavators and Utility Vehicles

SANY's Brazilian Manufacturing Plant Launches First Equipment

SANY Group has officially launched the production of its first hydraulic excavators and utility vehicles from its new manufacturing facility in Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil. This significant milestone represents a strategic step forward in expanding the company’s industrial footprint in Latin America and supporting ongoing growth in the region.

Overview of the Manufacturing Facility

Occupying a vast area of 350,000 square meters, this production site includes dedicated assembly lines for both hydraulic excavators and utility vehicles, boasting an impressive annual manufacturing capacity of 3,500 units. The excavator production line is designed to deliver 1,500 units yearly, while the utility vehicle assembly line aims for an annual output of 2,000. This facility will enable SANY to better meet customer demands in Brazil and other neighboring Latin American markets.

By establishing production in Brazil, SANY anticipates a reduction in cross-border logistics costs and import duties, thus shortening delivery times significantly. Additionally, the Campinas plant is structured to amalgamate manufacturing, sales, and service operations, bolstering SANY's supply chain and enhancing competitiveness throughout Latin America.

Local Investment and Employment

Since entering the Brazilian market, SANY has focused on local sales, manufacturing, and post-sales service. The commencement of production at the Campinas site ensures that SANY can offer end-to-end manufacturing capabilities in the region. This production shift is just one component of SANY's long-term commitment to Brazil, which includes substantial investments in local operations, distribution channels, and financial services.

Currently, 80% of SANY Brazil's workforce is locally sourced, reinforcing the company's investment in the local community. The factory has already created about 200 direct jobs, with thousands more expected as operations expand. Furthermore, SANY Banco, which received authorization from the Central Bank of Brazil in 2025, began operations in early 2026, providing local clients with integrated solutions for equipment, service, and financing tailored to the local market.

Future Plans

Cao Te, SANY's President for Latin America, and Chen Wei, the project’s General Manager, announced that the production lines for the initial phase are now operational, while planning for the second phase is already underway. The introduction of additional product categories is in the pipeline, aimed at further broadening SANY's offerings in Brazil.

“They expressed confidence that the Campinas facility will evolve into a regional production hub for SANY, reinforcing local production capabilities and ensuring high-quality product delivery for customers across Latin America,” said the executives.

This launch not only marks the beginning of a new chapter for SANY in Brazil but also illustrates the company's commitment to enhancing local economic development through manufacturing and job creation. As SANY continues to grow its presence in Latin America, the Campinas plant is poised to play a key role in achieving these ambitious goals.
