From August 7th to August 31st, 2025, the Ogaki Bookstore Azabudai Hills will host a special exhibition titled "The Art of Shaun Tan," showcasing the surreal and imaginative creations of renowned picture book author and illustrator Shaun Tan. Known for beloved works such as "The Arrival" and "Eric," Tan’s unique artistic vision combines intricate detail with a variety of mediums, including pencil, pen, oil paint, and pastels, captivating audiences around the globe.

This exhibition will not only display a selection of Shaun Tan's vibrant prints but will also feature an exclusive collection of original artworks, making it a must-visit for art lovers and fans alike. Moreover, attendees will have the chance to purchase brand new merchandise, including T-shirts and various Shaun Tan-themed goods, alongside limited-edition capsule toys that are sure to delight collectors.

In addition to the art display, a special event titled "Don’t Forget the Summer Rules Password!" will occur on August 16th from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Esteemed translator Sachiko Kishimoto will be in attendance, providing a unique opportunity for guests to engage directly with her. The exhibition and events are organized by Kyurudo Co., Ltd., a celebrated art book publishing house established in 1923, which recently celebrated its centennial milestone in 2023.
