A Partnership for Independent Living: Rose Villa and HealthyLifetime
In a significant initiative aimed at enhancing the quality of life for seniors, Rose Villa Senior Living has partnered with HealthyLifetime, a progressive independent aging program developed by the University of Michigan. This collaboration seeks to empower older adults by promoting independent living through tailored support, guidance, and resource access, aligning perfectly with Rose Villa's mission.
What is HealthyLifetime?
The HealthyLifetime program is an innovative, evidence-based approach designed for older adults to navigate the complexities of aging. Over an eight-week period, this program provides one-on-one coaching from Independent Aging Professionals, also known as Nurse Coaches. By establishing personal connections, these professionals work collaboratively with participants to identify their unique challenges and co-create actionable plans aimed at enhancing independence.
The program represents a proactive approach to independent aging, focusing on personal goals and the processes that help older adults lead fulfilling lives. Participants can expect to achieve significant improvements in motivation, emotional well-being, and overall health throughout this program.
Benefits of the Partnership
Rose Villa is poised to offer the HealthyLifetime program exclusively to its Committed Tier members within the upcoming Take Root initiative, set to launch in February 2025. This tier provides enhanced benefits, including quicker access to housing options and greater opportunities for engagement within the community. Glen Lewis, the CEO of Rose Villa, articulated his enthusiasm for this partnership, emphasizing its alignment with the community's commitment to supporting residents in living purposefully and healthily for as long as possible.
The collaborative sessions will focus on measurable outcomes—participants can expect to increase their self-confidence, manage stress and anxiety more effectively, and enhance their overall quality of life. Critical to the program's success is the ability of Nurse Coaches to provide tailored support that respects each participant's individuality and unique circumstances. They assist participants not just in formulating their goals but also in tracking progress and accessing relevant health and local resources to ensure success.
A Vision for the Future
Dr. Kathleen Potempa, Executive Director of HealthyLifetime, shared her excitement about collaborating with Rose Villa, highlighting that their innovative approach to senior care reflects a shared vision for empowering seniors. She's optimistic that this partnership marks a substantial advancement in equipping older adults with the tools they need to maintain independence as they age.
Enhanced Available Amenities
The introduction of the Take Root program promises to elevate the living experience at Rose Villa for its Committed Tier members. With limited capacity capped at 32 members, those enrolled in this tier will enjoy immediate benefits such as priority access to apartments and cottages, alongside increased engagement through social opportunities and activities tailored to enrich their lives.
The focus on personalized independence is anticipated to create lasting impacts on the community, making aging not just a phase of life but a vibrant journey filled with purpose and connection. The combination of Rose Villa's nurturing environment and the structured support of HealthyLifetime is a groundbreaking step in redefining how aging is approached.
With the much-anticipated launch of the Take Root program, Rose Villa is set to lead the charge in facilitating successful aging for its residents, preparing them for a future that is not only independent but thriving.
