Ocean State Credit Union (OSCU) is pleased to announce that Krista Rousseau has been appointed as the new Branch Manager. With over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, Rousseau is set to play a pivotal role in enhancing member experiences and fostering community growth at OSCU.

A Seasoned Professional

Krista Rousseau comes to OSCU with an extensive background that includes significant roles in major financial institutions. Prior to this appointment, she spent nearly six years at Chase Bank, where she rose through the ranks from Associate Banker to Branch Operations Lead. Her time at Chase allowed her to hone her skills in operational leadership, team development, and customer service—qualities that will be invaluable in her new role.

Before her time at Chase, Rousseau worked at Edward Jones for almost a decade in a Senior Branch Office Administrator role. This experience further solidified her expertise in financial services and relationship management, making her well-equipped to lead at OSCU.

Commitment to the Community

Rousseau’s dedication to community service is as impressive as her professional achievements. Alongside her family, she has actively participated in various charitable events supporting organizations like the 1 of 52 Hunger Network and Save One Soul Animal Rescue League. Moreover, she has volunteered with Neighbors Helping Neighbors, Habitat for Humanity, and the WARM Center in Westerly, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to making a positive impact in her community.

In her new capacity as Branch Manager, Rousseau will oversee branch operations while promoting OSCU's mission to deliver personalized and member-focused banking experiences. Her responsibilities will include managing staff development, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing lending activities—all while building and maintaining strong community relationships.

Education and Personal Life

Rousseau holds an associate degree in liberal arts from the Community College of Rhode Island and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in communication with a minor in business administration from the University of Arizona. She resides in Rhode Island with her husband, Jerry, and their three sons. The Rousseau family is well-known in their community, often performing with local bands to support charitable causes through their love for music.
