Celebrating Over Ten New Contracts for BridgeLAB DR: A Free Trial Campaign Launch

Introduction

On January 8, 2026, Informetis Inc., a provider of energy management technology utilizing AI, will launch a free trial campaign for its service called "BridgeLAB NILM Lite." This initiative celebrates the achievement of over ten new contracts for the capacity contribution demand response (DR) service, "BridgeLAB DR," set to be incorporated in 2025. With this surge in new contracts, the number of companies utilizing BridgeLAB DR has more than doubled compared to the previous year, showcasing robust growth in the energy sector.

Campaign Overview

The free trial campaign is designed specifically for retail electricity providers, whether they are existing clients of Informetis or not. The campaign will analyze the consumption data of customers linked to participating electricity retailers using the advanced algorithm of BridgeLAB NILM Lite. The analysis will break down consumer electricity usage into five categories: heating and cooling, refrigerators, lighting, standby power, and other appliances. This classification aims to improve customer engagement by offering transparency regarding electricity costs and providing valuable energy-saving tips.

The campaign runs from January 8 to March 31, 2026, and is open to any registered retail electricity provider mentioned in the list released by the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy as of December 26, 2025. Retailers can apply to analyze their customers' consumption data for a duration of one month, with the number of analyses available being adjustable based on discussions with Informetis representatives.

The Evolution of BridgeLAB

Since its inception in 2022, the BridgeLAB series has evolved to not only focus on demand response but also to release various data analysis menus that adapt to the changing needs of retailers and energy consumers. This flexibility enables retailers to tackle the complexities of the energy market effectively. Alongside plain capacity contribution DR, the service also offers:

  • - Upward DR: Encouraging energy usage during periods of reduced solar power generation.
  • - Demand House Profiling: Categorizing energy consumers based on their usage profiles to better activate DR initiatives and tailor marketing strategies.
  • - Device Control DR: Employing IoT technology for automatic control of energy-consuming devices to facilitate easier participation in DR.

By diversifying its approach, Informetis aims to address the multi-faceted challenges faced by retail electricity providers in an increasingly complex energy market.

Future Prospects

As the integration of next-generation smart meters progresses, Informetis plans to further expand its range of support services utilizing 30-minute interval electricity data. The company's focus is to optimize DR activation based on accurate demand forecasting and enhance supply-demand operations. Furthermore, upcoming improvements include rationalizing power procurement plans and utilizing AI to create personalized energy-saving proposals tailored to individual consumer profiles. By delivering innovative solutions, Informetis aims to enhance the profitability of the electricity business while contributing to a carbon-neutral society.
